On 12 October 2023, value-based journalism as a defender of Christian society was the focus of an event that dealt with the development of media and society in a time marked by an increasingly noticeable culture war. The occasion was this year’s 75th birthday of the renowned weekly newspaper ‘Die Tagespost’, which since its beginnings has striven for independent, well-founded and serious value-political journalism. In view of the highly topical subject, it was therefore not surprising that numerous Dames and Knights of the Order did not miss the keynote speeches by ‘Die Tagespost’ Head of Communications Mirko Weiss, editor Stephan Baier and Eva Demmerle, representative of the ‘Tagespost’ Foundation. It was a special honour for the Order of St. George to welcome H. E. Bishop Stjepan Sus from Kiev and the Vicar General for the Ukrainian Eastern Churches, Yurij Kolasa, among the guests.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
