Excerpt from the Chancellor´s letter on the passing away:
It is with deep sadness that I inform you of the passing away of our Order Knight and member of the Wing Adjutants DI Martin Hollaus, who left us unexpectedly and far too early on 12 November at the age of only 53 due to a tragic accident.
After studying computer science at the Vienna University of Technology, Martin Hollaus was the owner and managing director of Ingenieur Studio Hollaus, based in St. Pölten, Lower Austria, and has been involved in the areas of programming standard software, customised software, consulting and training since it was founded in 1996. He has also worked as a judicially sworn and certified expert, as a consultant to the Lower Austrian Fire Brigade Association and as a fire service technician.
Our Order Knight Martin was admitted to our Order in Ljubljana in 2016 and was active in the Commandery Niederösterreich – Heldenberg, including in the group of winged adjutants. His passion for life was transmitted to those around him in all encounters. We will miss him very much in the Order and keep him in fond, vivid memory.
My and our sincere condolences go out to the many relatives who, like us, are shocked by the sudden death.
