The primary task of the Order Academy is to introduce candidates to the Order, to raise existing Dames and Knights to a uniform level of information, to deal with the ‘special duties’ of functionaries, and to network socio-political knowledge and know-how and make it fruitful for the Order. The Academy of the Order is responsible for basic and further training as well as expertise and acts as a think tank for the Order.
In addition, specific issues of importance to the Order are to be addressed within Deaneries established specifically for this purpose by the Chancellor of the Order.
