Excerpt from the Chancellor´s letter on the passing away:
With great sadness I have to inform you of the passing of our Vice Commander Mag. Dipl.-Ing. Georg Donaubauer, who left us unexpectedly on 9 May 2025 at the age of 57.
Our Order Knight, who lived in Vienna and Bad Ischl, studied both business administration and forestry. His professional career has taken him to various positions in the telecommunications and energy sectors, where he has worked in management, controlling, project management and as a strategy consultant. Most recently, he was involved in management consulting and business organisation in his own company.
Georg was admitted to our Order in Ljubljana in 2016 and belonged to the Commandery of Wien – Hofburg, where he also took over the role of Vice Commander in 2022. Georg was known to everyone as a polite, supportive and always cheerful member of our Order community and many of our Dames and Knights spent wonderful hours with him just a few days ago at our Order Convent in Bratislava.
