On 27 May 2026, the Dames of the Order of St George and the Spiritual Council hosted a very special evening as part of the ‘Personalities Up Close’ series: Archduke Eduard, cousin of our Grand Master, honoured us with his presence. In a double talk with Capitular Mag. iur. Stefan Stöger, LL.M., that was both interesting and charming, he offered insights into the history of the House of Habsburg, as well as into his life as a family man, diplomat and author. The focus of the conversation was his book ‘Sprechen Sie Habsburgisch?’ (The Habsburg Way), which explores his family’s core values: faith, marriage and family, self-knowledge, law and justice, courage, tradition, and a willingness to serve and to die.
