Excerpt from the Chancellor’s letter on the passing away:
It is with great sadness that I inform you that our highly deserved Knight of the Order and former Capitular of the Order, Dr. Andreas F. Karlsböck, former Member of the National Council, passed away last Friday, 22 November 2019, only a few days after his 59th birthday after a long illness. With Andreas we have not only lost a very special knight, man and friend, but also a very important advocate of the values of our Order. Among other things, he founded the Prayer Breakfast in Parliament, was a passionate foreign politician and bearer of the Golden Medal for Services to the Republic of Austria.
We deeply regret the loss. My and our sincere condolences go out to the entire family of Andreas.
