Archduke Ferdinand Zvonimir´s visit to the Order's residence
On September 1, 2021, HIRH Ferdinand von Habsburg and procurator Baron Vinzenz von Stimpfl-Abele met for a conversation in the order’s residence, to which the archduke had also brought the impressive trophy of the legendary Le Mans 24-hour race, which he won this year.

Partner of the Austrian Armed Forces
The sponsoring association of the Order of St. George is recognized by the Federal Ministry for National Defense in Austria (BMLV) as an “association relevant to defense policy” – now referred to as “partner of the armed forces”. In addition, the distinctions of the Order of St. George may be worn in accordance with the wearing regulations of the BMLV with the starting uniform of the Austrian Armed Forces.

On July 21, 2021 the Czech Commandry hosted an event in the dignified setting of Chateau Nimerice, which is located 30 minutes outside of Prague. High-ranking guests dealt with the topic of the evening – the future of Europe -, analysed opportunities and risks and discussed necessary course setting.
Funeral of Jürgen-Michael Kleppich, MA
On July 13, 2021, the Order of St. George had to say goodbye in great sadness to one of its knights and wing adjutants, Jürgen-Michael Kleppich, MA, who passed away much too early at the age of 51 after a serious illness.
