The author and the editors of the book ‘Europe and the USA – The transatlantic relationship under scrutiny’ will present the book and discuss related international affairs during the subsequent panel discussion with Procurator Baron Vinzenz von Stimpfl-Abele.
Interesting analyses, exciting perspectives and an intense discussion with and among all those present are expected. Detailed information can be found in the invitation below.

Order Convent 2025

At the annual Convent of the Order, new Dames and Knights of the Order are admitted to the Order by the Grand Master SKKH Karl von Habsburg at a ceremonial investiture following the festive mass. The meeting of the Grand Council and the Open Chapter Meeting also take place as part of the Convent.

- 14:00 Supporting programme: guided tour through Bratislava in German and English
- 16:30 Meeting of the Grand Council in the conference room of ‘Hotel Devin’ for the members of the Grand Council
- 19:00 Get-together in ‘Rivers Club’ at the Danube for all Dames and Knights of the Order, postulants and guests
Saturday, 26 April 2025
- 08:00 Briefing for postulants with their warrantors in the Jesuit Church
- 09:00 Line-up in front of the historical building of the Slovak National Theatre for postulants as well as all Dames and Knights of the Order
- 10:00 Festive mass in the Jesuit church followed by investiture
- 12:30 Lunch in the restaurant and bar premises of ‘Hotel Devin’
- 14:30 Meeting of the Order Convent in the conference room of ‘Hotel Devin’ for all Dames and Knights of the Order
- 19:30 Champagne reception in the foyer of ‘Hotel Carlton’
- 20:00 Gala dinner in the ballrooms of ‘Hotel Carlton’
The details with the registration links will be sent out at the beginning of March after all preparations have been finalised.

Artificial intelligence has a major impact on our daily lives and raises many questions. In the media sector in particular, it causes a flood of disinformation and fake news. Responsible use in the media industry is therefore essential in order to protect media diversity, diversity of opinion and democracy.
In his presentation, Wolfgang Struber, Managing Director of RTR Medien, will address the opportunities, problems and challenges that arise specifically in the media sector.

With this event, the Delegation Slowakei is commemorating the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Iron Curtain. Procurator Vinzenz von Stimpfl-Abele will give an introductory keynote speech. Afterwards, historian Dr. Beata Katrebova Blehova will speak on the subject of ‘Across the Iron Curtain: Slovakia and Austria in the Era of the Cold War’.
Both lectures are in German. There is the possibility of a common dinner on site.
