It is with great sadness that we have received the news of the passing of our Knight of the Order, Dkfm. Georg J.E. Mautner von Markhof, who passed away on May 13, 2008 at the age of 81 within the family circle. We extend our sincere condolences to the relatives of our brother.

Dkfm. Georg J.E. Mautner von Markhof was an Austrian industrialist from the Mautner-Markhof family of entrepreneurs. After studying in Switzerland, he first worked as a journalist before joining the family business in 1950 and managing it from 1975 to 1996.
