On 9 September 2026 the Habsburgs 500 exhibition was ceremonially opened at the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, commemorating the 500th anniversary of the Habsburgs’ accession to the Bohemian throne in 1526. The opening ceremony was jointly led by Mgr. Michael Heres, Justitiar of the Order of St George, and Senator Jiří Schiller, Chairman of the Committee on European Union Affairs of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, who also assumed patronage of the exhibition. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Embassies of Austria and Ukraine, as well as by other distinguished guests.
