On 25 September 2024, the Committee of the Knights of Honour placed the recently published book ‘The state that everyone wanted in the end’ at the centre of its focus. It deals with the political role and vision of Engelbert Dollfuß, whose assassination by the National Socialists marked the 90th anniversary at the end of July. A personality who continues to be polarising. The author, historian Dr. Hannes Kammerstätter, presented interesting and important facts in his lecture and opened up surprising new perspectives on the personality of Federal Chancellor Dollfuß.
