For the second time, the Order of St George acted as a partner to the Salzburg-based Institute of the Regions of Europe (IRE) at its annual major event, the ‘Salzburg Europe Summit’. Procurator Baron Vinzenz von Stimpfl-Abele sees the way out of the numerous crises facing the world today in chivalric virtues such as trust, a sense of community and a sense of responsibility.
The 22nd edition of the Salzburg Europe Summit, taking place from 27 to 29 September 2026, has also been planned and organised by former Governor Univ. Prof. Dr. Franz Schausberger, Chairman of the Committee of the Dames and Knights of Honour of the Order of St George, and his team. At this year’s event, numerous representatives from the worlds of international diplomacy, politics and business debated the question: ‘Europe – a sovereign global player?’.
