As in previous years, the Dames of the Order of St. George baked biscuits and provided sweets and toys for the Mother and Child House Luise. The donations were handed over to the home’s director in time for the home’s upcoming Christmas party.
The facility was founded for mothers with children who have no home and need support. They can live in the house for about two years. The aim is for the mothers to be able to live independently with their children after this time. Along the way, they receive professional support, e.g. in finding a flat, in parenting issues, in finding suitable childcare and generally in difficult situations.
