Once again this year, our Spiritual Council provides the following Easter messages for all Dames and Knights of the Order who are unable to attend Mass in church during the Easter season.
The government of the Order of St. George wishes all Dames and Knights a blessed Easter with their families, health and hope for peace in our common Europe.
Please note: The video recordings are only available in German.
God
Let me be your angel
and trumpet out into all the world:
Out of all graves – out
Into all heights – up
Into all life – into it
Out of all death – away!
And let me myself be a living man.
Amen
Gospel for Palm Sunday
Prof. Dr. SL Lic. SL P. Pius Maurer OCist, Abbot of Lilienfeld Abbey
Now when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go into the village in front of you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and he will send them at once.”
This took place to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet, saying, “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your king is coming to you, humble, and mounted on a donkey, on a colt,[a] the foal of a beast of burden.’”
The disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them. They brought the donkey and the colt and put on them their cloaks, and he sat on them. Most of the crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
And when he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred up, saying, “Who is this?” And the crowds said, “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.”

Easter message for Easter Sunday
H.E. Bishop Emeritus DDr. Klaus Küng, former bishop of St. Pölten
Dames and Knights of the Order of St. George! I would like to wish you all a blessed Easter.
We live in turbulent times with so many dark clouds in the sky that we don’t know how and when they will be discharged and whether we too will get hurt. Actually, it definitely affects us, because we can’t just be passive spectators when so many people are suffering unspeakably and many are dying.
Nevertheless, the Easter message fills us with hope. With infinitely great love, Christ testified to the truth of God and his commandments and paid for this with his life. After three days he rose from the dead. He conquered the world and will always conquer.
His suffering and death, but also his resurrection are beyond time. His word is and always will be, whether people accept it or not. For those who believe in him, his love conquers sin and death. Joined with him, we can be confident that as Christians we can fight our battle because forgiveness is granted when we ask and because He gives us strength to say with Paul, “If God is with us, who is against us.” Yes, even if our life here on earth comes to an end one day, we can count on his promise: “Whoever believes in me will live, even if he dies.”
So I wish you all that peace and that joy that the encounter with the Risen One conveys, and that energy that is based on communion with him. With this in mind, a happy Easter to all of you!
