It is with great sadness that we have received news of the passing away of our Knight HR Mag. theol. Dr. phil. Rainer Maria Herkenrath, who died on August 22, 2022 at the age of 97 after a short and serious illness. We extend our sincere condolences to the relatives and family of our Knight.
Excerpt from his biography:
HR Mag. theol. Dr. phil. Rainer Maria Herkenrath was born in Neuss on the Rhine in 1924. During his studies he was active in several student fraternities in Graz and Salzburg. On January 17, 2008, the distinguished historian was admitted to the Order of St. George in Hagenau.
